If you’re outside the softest, entry-level steels (below approx. 56 HRC), moving up to an ultra-premium from a decent mid-range shear is really about your edge-retention interval and finish, not some huge quality cliff – several very experienced stylists on record specifically caution against the premium paid for a premium brand name, versus a spec sheet you understand.
